That’s why we’ve created a special filter that makes it easy to find holiday homes that are particularly suitable for people with reduced mobility.
What does our “suitable for reduced mobility” filter actually mean?
We deliberately don’t label our homes as “adapted for disabled people”, because only 1 or 2 properties in our collection are fully wheelchair accessible according to official standards (e.g. wide doors, ramps everywhere, specialised lifts).
The filter is designed for guests who prefer:
- As few stairs as possible (often single-level or with just a small number of low steps)
- A bedroom on the ground floor
- A walk-in shower (no bath or high step)
- An easily accessible swimming pool (e.g. wide edges, shallow area, handrails or gentle steps instead of a steep ladder)
- Enough space and comfort in the living area for a walker, mobility aid or wheelchair

If you use a wheelchair and/or have great difficulty with small height differences or narrow paths, please always contact us personally first. We know every single house inside out (Debby and Folkert visit them all themselves) and can give you tailored advice on which property will suit you best – or recommend looking at a fully adapted home elsewhere if that’s a better fit.
