Beautifully restored, the Bastide from the 19th century has a 180 m2 living area easily accommodating up to 10 persons and 1 baby.

The Bastide comprises of 2 floors and is decorated with original taste and many authentic Provençal details. The bastide has 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms and is ideal for several families to enjoy holidays together. There is also a sauna available. The cozy living room has a fire place, TV with satellite connection and stereo-cd player with I-pod doc. There is a separate spacious country kitchen with dining table. The kitchen is a fully equipped with dishwasher, 3 ring gas and 1 electric stove, oven, microwave, an American fridge-freezer, and Nespresso- coffee machine.

From the kitchen there are doors to the partly covered terrace with a large dining table. From the terrace you overlook the garden and pool. From the living room you ascend to the bedrooms on the first floor via an authentic Provençal staircase to the library with book shelfs and a desk with internet connection (wifi). On this floor you find 2 spacious bedrooms each with a private bathroom en-suite. The bathrooms have a tub / shower combination or a walk-in shower, sink and toilet. On the second floor via a spacious landing you find 3 nice bedrooms (with mobile aircos) and a third bathroom with bath / shower, basin and toilet. Furthermore, the house has gas central heating. There is a high chair, 2 baby beds, baby bathtub. All windows are fitted with mosquito nets.

The detached Bastide is set on a private plot of 3000m2 and has a private swimming pool with separate children’s pool that can be heated on request outside of summer.

The terraces of La Calandre is partially covered and on the east side you have access to the large backyard with a lawn, where you can lounge under the coverd terrace or play boule on the boule court. The garden is completely enclosed for small children and dogs. There is a dining table on the covered terrace.

You find spacious terraces on the south side and behind the private pool (10 x 5 m). The pool has a separate childrens pool and is ideal for families with small children. It is secured by a wooden fence around the pool, where you also have a beautifully wooden terrace with plenty of sun loungers and a parasol.

There is a well-presented outdoor kitchen/pool house next to the swimming pool. This outdoor kitchen/pool house has a covered terrace with a big dining table and a professional, fully fitted kitchen with several appliances, such as 4 ring cooker with grill and oven, a dishwasher and a fridge. There is a small lounge inside the pool house.

At the other side of the pool house there is a 4th bathroom with walk-in shower, WC and wash basin and washing machine. And there is a Sauna.
Next to the swimming pool there is an outdoor shower. Rosemary and other herbs along with olive and fig trees makes the garden very special. There is also a table tennis available. The river Argens is on the other side of the country road, where you find fish such as carp, trout and pike.

The Bastide is officially in the municipality of the province Lorgues, Var in the heart of a great wine area, 200 meters from the Pont d Argens. It is approximately 2.5 km to Le Thoronet, where the baker, butcher, fishmonger, small supermarket and post office are. It is approximately 4 km from the popular market town Lorgues, with its many restaurants and bars and bigger supermarkets. In the area there are numerous wine chateaux and famous Provençal markets. Recommended is the Tuesday morning market in Lorgues. The beaches of Frejus and St. Tropez are 35 km from the house. The cities of Nice, Cannes, Toulon / Hyers are all within 1-hour drive.
