INTERIOR
This recently renovated villa has 3 spacious bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a mezzanine with double bed that can be reached by stairs in the living room. The open kitchen is very spacious and modern, well equipped to make a delicious Provençal meal. The large dining table and a spacious living room with fireplace complete the whole. The bedrooms are spacious and well-appointed. The entire house is equipped with an airconditioning installation.
EXTERIOR
Villa Margaux is quietly situated in a former olive grove and has a beautiful view over the olive trees and adjacent vineyard. You can enjoy a beautiful sunrise or sunset in the morning and in the evening. The villa has a lovely heated swimming pool which is equipped with a jet stream for the sporty swimmer (separately operated).
On the covered terrace with large dining table and gas BBQ, it is nice to stay until late in the evening. On the 2nd terrace is also a large dining table, so you can enjoy the sun or shade in the morning and in the afternoon. You can also relax on the comfortable loungers around the pool. The beautiful Pin Parasol offers in the summer fine natural shade on the luxurious wooden deck, where there is also an outdoor shower. There is a lot of privacy. There is plenty of room to park your car next to the house.
The villa is located within walking distance (about 800 meters) from the medieval provençal village of Carcès, where you will find various bakeries, a butcher, well-stocked supermarkets, cozy bars and attractive restaurants.
ACTIVITIES
The villa is located in the municipality of Carcès, a typical medieval wine village with about 3,000 inhabitants. Carcès is located in the green heart of Provence, in the middle of the vineyards and olive groves. Carcès is located on the river l’Argens where you can go for kayaking. Nearby is Lake Carcès, a paradise for fishermen.
The picturesque surroundings and the beautiful hiking trails lure innumerable nature lovers every year.
Carcès is a great base for activities such as: wine tasting, horse riding or swimming in one of the many rivers in the area.
A visit to the Abbaye de Thoronet, a beautiful medieval abbey is also worthwhile! The region is a paradise for cyclists and walkers.
At 35 km is the Gorges du Verdon where you can go kayaking, pedal boating or swimming.
The beach and sea can be reached within 50 minutes. The village Carcès is located about 60 km east of Aix-en-Provence, about 60 km north of St. Tropez, and about 110 km west of Nice. For more activities see the description of our website.
RESTAURANTS, FOOD & WINE
There are many Provencal bistros and restaurants in the vicinity. There are atmospheric terraces in medieval surroundings where you can enjoy a glass of rosé under the plane trees.
