INTERIOR
La Maison Cotignac welcomes you to a spacious 6-person villa with 200m2 of living space, combining comfort and coziness. As you step into the hall, the generous dining/living area unfolds. Wooden beams in the ceiling lend the house a rustic character. The 6-person dining table offers a view into the cozy living area adorned with a fireplace.
The fully equipped kitchen, styled in typical French fashion, features a 4-ring induction cooker, microwave/combi oven, Nespresso machine, fridge, and dishwasher. Additionally, a door from the kitchen leads to the outside terrace. The ground floor hosts a bedroom for 2 people, with patio doors providing garden access and a private bathroom equipped with a shower and two basins. Upstairs, the other two bedrooms share a bathroom with a bathtub, shower, and two basins. Generous and comfortable, the bedrooms exude a romantic touch with their wooden beams and offer splendid views of the garden.
A charming antique wood-burning stove graces the hall downstairs, providing warmth throughout the house. Wooden wardrobes in both the downstairs corridor and one of the upstairs bedrooms add to the house’s distinctive character.
EXTERIOR
La Maison Cotignac is situated in a serene location, 3.5 km from the enchanting Provençal village of Cotignac. Just an 800-meter stroll from the house, a village grocery store awaits, offering delectable fresh bread and more. The property sprawls across a 4000m2 plot, with approximately half the area being flat and the remainder spread over three restanques (stone terraces), creating a peaceful and private ambiance. The beautifully maintained garden boasts mature plants, complemented by a swing and toys for children.
The private 4x10m swimming pool features convenient steps, ideal for families with small children. Six sunbeds and a parasol invite relaxation, while the terrace provides a good vantage point to appreciate the pool and garden, accessible from the kitchen. The terrace is equipped with both coal and gas barbecues, along with a sink.
ACTIVITIES
La Maison Cotignac is ideally positioned for a diverse array of activities, including fishing, kayaking, cycling/mountain biking, and hiking through the surrounding vineyards. Along the river Argens, pleasant picnic areas await, and a canoe trip is a highly recommended experience.
Canoe rental companies are conveniently located in various spots. With over 10 golf courses, tennis courts, and horseback riding opportunities in the region, there’s something for everyone. The natural wonders of the Gorges du Verdon are a mere 45 minutes away, providing an ideal setting for rock climbing, mountain biking, canoeing, pedal boating, and more. The beach and the Mediterranean Sea are reachable in about 45 minutes.
RESTAURANTS, FOOD & WINE
A SPAR supermarket on the route from Cotignac to Brignoles caters to your needs. Cotignac itself offers three bakeries, a butcher, a fishmonger, a charming grocery store, a bank, and a post office. Immerse yourself in the typical Provencal village atmosphere, where you can unwind with a pastis or coffee under the ancient plane trees on the main square. Numerous Provencal bistros and restaurants are within easy reach.
The central square hosts the popular restaurant Chez Loli, offering delightful lunches or dinners with a favorable quality/price ratio. Across the square, La Table des Coquelicots provides an equally enjoyable experience. Just outside Cotignac on the D22 towards Montfort sur Argens, the restaurant Clos des Vignes beckons. Beautifully situated in the vineyards, it offers an original menu.
La Maison Cotignac is located in a quiet area, 3.5 km from the beautiful Provençal village of Cotignac. A 800 meter walk from the house you find a village grocery store where can get delicious fresh bread and many other things.
Around Cotignac, there are countless wine chateaux and also the famous Provencal markets. Not to be missed is the lively Tuesday morning market in Cotignac. Another market on Tuesday morning, but considerably larger, can be visited in Lorgues, 20 km away. The villages of Sillans la Cascade, Salernes, Flayosc, Tourtour, and Aups are all located within a radius of 20 km and are definitely worth a visit. The beaches of Fréjus and St Tropez are 35 km away. The cities of Aix-en-Provence, Nice, Cannes, Toulon/Hyères are all approximately an hour’s drive away by car.
