A narrow side road with olive trees and vines takes you to the closed domain of Villa Fave des Champs. Behind the electric entrance gate there is space for several cars. There are 2 covered parking spots.
You are immediately struck by the charm of the Provence style. The house is built on a plot of 2575 m² with attention to every detail, ranging from well-kept covered terraces with seating furniture and a large dining table to an outdoor shower and sun loungers around the beautiful swimming pool, an outdoor kitchen and a landscaped garden with an extensive range of flowers. It is wonderful to stay here.
Once inside, that atmosphere continues. The spacious living area with high ceilings and simple modern furniture provides a peaceful setting. There is a cozy sitting area with a fireplace and television and a large dining table for dining together on a cooler evening. From here you walk through to the open plan kitchen. Here you will find everything you may need during your stay, from oven, microwave, gas stove, double fridge/freezer, dishwasher to coffee machines and kitchen utensils.
Back in the living room, an original wooden connecting door from Bali separates the sleeping area.
You enter a long corridor with first a bedroom with a double bed, opening out with French doors to the pool terrace and on the other side of the corridor a bathroom with shower, single sink and toilet. Next to that, there is a bedroom that overlooks the driveway and has a high-quality sofa bed for 2 people. An additional mattress topper has been provided. In this room you will also find a spare single folding bed. In the hallway there is a separate toilet and in the end you find the master bedroom. This room opens up to the pool terrace too, with French doors. There is an adjoining spacious bathroom with shower and sink and a dressing.
The house has no air conditioning but keeps well cool during the summer because of its solid structure with thick walls. Mosquito nets are provided in the windows in all rooms.

This villa is within walking distance of the village of Salernes, less than 1 kilometer away. It is located in a residential area with a few villas around but certainly no overlook and while preserving the beauty of nature.
The village offers cozy terraces and a few local shops. Typical is the baignade municipale in a wider part of the river La Bresque. You can also visit the château of Salernes and the waterfalls of Sillans.
From Salernes you can quickly connect to the other charming villages in the area, such as Lorgues with its well-known Provencal market on Tuesday mornings, Cotignac and Flayosc. The Verdon nature reserve and the Lac de Sainte-Croix are less than an hour’s drive away. The same applies to the coast and day trips to St-Tropez.

Mooie vakantie
Ik kende QHome nog niet maar zal er zeker weer boeken. Het huis was keurig, we werden netjes ontvangen en we hebben een heerlijke tijd gehad. Het enige waar ik de volgende keer op zou letten, is dat er een airco aanwezig is. We wisten dat die er niet was, maar de dikke muren zouden de warmte binnen houden, dat is bij de stijgende temperaturen van vandaag te dag helaas niet helemaal het geval. Maar het heeft de pret zeker niet gedrukt.
